My project is focused on the development of new stimuli-responsive materials using novel hydrogels matrix as scaffold. The aim is to realize new light-responsive and conducting hydrogels based, respectively, on functionalized sensitizers covalently linked to the matrix and on several conducting polymers directly synthesized inside the hydrogels. The effect of the introduced features on the chemical and mechanical properties of the new materials will be then evaluated.
