Academic Education
01/02/2014 - 30/04/2014 Visitor PhD student in University of Strasbourg, I.S.I.S. (Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires) Department, under the supervision of Prof. Luisa De Cola.
01/01/2012 - today Enrollment at third year of PhD in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Luca Gentilucci, department of Chemistry “G. Ciamician”, Bologna, Italy.
01/04/10 - 28/02/11 Graduate student at Medicinal Chemistry department of Bologna’s University working in the Prof. C. Melchiorre organic chemistry group.
28/10/2011 Degree in “Chimica e tecnologia farmaceutiche”, (110/110) Title of the thesis: “Structure-activity relationship (SAR) of the fragment 3,5-dibenzilidenepiperidin-4-one for the study of Alzheimer's disease”; Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Bologna. Supervisor: Prof. Michela Rosini.
Currently I mainly deal with the synthesis and conformational analysis of peptides and peptidomimetics as new anticancer agents, anti-inflammatories and antibiotics.
I am part of PRIN (Research Programs of National Interest) 2010-2011: Synthesis and biomedical applications of tumor-targeting peptidomimetics.
In Strasbourg University I deal with the functionalization of SAMs of Zeolite nanocrystals with peptidomimetic probes for the study of cell-adhesion and the development of new diagnostic tools in the field of inflammatory diseases.
