Personal informations

Giuseppe is born the 25/06/1990 in Reggio Calabria, in the south of Italy.

He got his Bachelor Degree in Chemistry in December 2012 at the University of Pisa, under the supervision of prof. Giuseppe Fachinetti.

For the preparation of his master dissertation, he spent five months in Strasbourg in the group of prof. Frédéric Bolze and in December 2014 he obtained his master degree defending a thesis supervised by prof. Piero Leoni and prof. Bolze.

He started his PhD in the group of prof. Luisa De Cola at the University of Strasbourg in September 2015.

In his spare time he run a personal project devoted to the diffusion of chemistry to the general public (La Chimica per Tutti) and he enjoy photography and flying small aircrafts.

He speak English (C1), French (A2) and Japanese (beginner).

My research work is part of the ResMoSys Marie Slodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network and is dedicated to the synthesis and characterization of new stimuli-responsive hydrogel for innovative biomedical application. I am working on the preparation of cross-linked biocompatible hydrogels to be used for clinical applications and of stimuli-responsive luminescent hydrogels to be used as cellular scaffolds.
